ANIMAE CARIBE CARIBBEAN DIGITAL YOUTH FORUM
The Caribbean Digital Youth Forum is organised in collaboration with the CARICOM Secretariat with funding from Caribbean Export Development and will provide a platform to discuss various areas of interest among young people in the region. We intend to include in this CDYF, consultations with youth regarding their views on the Youth Village component in CARIFESTA XIV.
Thanks to the Caribbean Export Development Agency, 5 young digital creators of the Caribbean will be present.
Intended Outcome
The purpose of this first CDYF is to give a voice to Caribbean youth regarding critical areas of concern related to youth and the digital divide in the Caribbean Classroom. The forum is intended be a platform as well to actively engage young people in planning the second CDYF, which we would like to propose to take place at CARIFESTA XIV in 2019.
Areas for discussion include:
1. Future of Caribbean Education: Time to enhance exponential technologies in Caribbean schools
2 Caribbean Digital Economy: Crypto Currencies and its effects on the future
3. Opportunities for Youth Start-Ups: Youth participation in the digital economy
4. Caribbean Youth Voices: Youth and social activism in the Caribbean
